Age 27 years old has a negative connotation. At that age many musicians die, a kind of Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Brian Jones, Janis Joplin and Kurt Cobain.

Queen sempat vakum di awal 1990-an ketika Freddie Mercury meninggal dunia karena AIDS. Meskipun begitu, mereka masih sempat mengeluarkan album baru, yaitu Made In Heaven pada 1995 dengan menggunakan suara Mercury yang direkam sebelumnya. Mereka juga sempat mengeluarkan singel baru, No-One But You (Only The Good Die Young) pada 1998. Di singel ini, gitaris Brian May merangkap sebagai vokalis karena Queen belum mendapatkan vokalis tetap. Sebelumnya, Queen sempat mengadakan proyek Queen + .... Proyek ini adalah proyek di mana Queen berkolaborasi dengan artis-artis lainnya seperti George Michael, Elton John, Luciano Pavarotti, dan sebagainya. Queen + ... sudah terlihat sejak diadakannya Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert untuk mengenang Freddie Mercury pada 1992. Hanya saja, Queen + ... cuma menyanyikan lagu-lagu lama mereka yang menjadi hits, seperti Somebody to Love, Too Much Love Will Kill You, dan sebagainya. Setelah rilis singel No-One But You (Only The Good Die Young), basis John Deacon memutuskan untuk mengakhiri kebersamaannya dengan Queen. Pada 2004, Queen menemukan vokalis baru, yaitu Paul Rodgers. Mereka sempat mengadakan show di Hyde Park, Sheffield, Inggris. Pada 2008, Queen dan Paul Rodgers berencana untuk
mengeluarkan album baru.
